September 1943, the western part of the North Sea, 5:45 am; a loud wail of an alarm siren awakens the crew of the submarine U-184 belonging to the German submarine fleet. The captain of the ship, Herman Schulz, gives an order. The initial diagnosis is rather pessimistic, a 27-inch self-propelled torpedo has hit the ship. Will they manage to restore the damaged drive and surface before they run out of air? Everything is in the hands of the senior bosun, Erich Henke, the leader of the rescue group. Achtung achtung, there is an hour left before the complete sinking.
