Worse, the city has been plagued for years by a serial killer: the "Long Island Killer," who abducts and brutally murders young women. There are reasonable fears that Shannan could have fallen prey to him. Weeks after her disappearance, you receive a peculiar video on your phone showing the kidnapping. Attached is a message saying: "If you ever want to see her alive, come to Queens district in New York. Call the police, and you'll never see her again.
